A Podcast About Outdoor Education
Traditional schooling occurs in a well-lit classroom designed to minimize distractions and focus attention. In this exploratory podcast, Silke Rose West and Joseph Sarosy - teachers, parents, school founders, and the authors of How to Tell Stories to Children (now in 19 languages) - share why they forgo that convenience and teach directly outside.

Silke Rose West is a Waldorf educator with over 30 years experience. In 1995, she co-founded the Taos Waldorf School, and in 2015 she pioneered the first forest kindergarten in Northern New Mexico. She is in the process of creating a Forest Elder-Garden, a play-based gathering for elders set in the wilderness.
